My first day in AICE Media class
Monday was my first day in my AICE Media Studies class. Many students came in late because of complications getting into school. The lines for the metal detectors were no joke. We had to stand in line for an hour in the heat. I came into school hot and sweaty, not feeling my best. I came in almost an hour late to class. Despite that, the first class was fun. We had to group up with people and write about what we did over the summer, but it had to be entertaining, informative, or persuasive. Then, we had to share to the class and they had to guess the type of writing we had to write in. I was in a group with one of my friends and this other girl who was really nice. We talked about our summer (and other things that were off topic...). Safe to say it was a good first class.
Today was my first proper day in my AICE Media Studies class. We had to create a Blogger account. That seems easy enough, but it was a bit frustrating for the class because of the slow computers. It took us about the whole class to log in to our emails, connect our emails to our Blogger accounts, and make this post. Today we really understood patience. We now understand how the computers work and what to prepare for when using them. Some students were helping others to make an account. Hopefully, next time using the computers won't be as complicated.
I'm very interested in how this class is going to go and what I am going to learn. I really enjoy watching movies. The art of filmmaking and craft of screenwriting fascinates me. Over the summer, I attempted to put together a screenplay. I didn't finish it, but I really want to throughout this school year. Hopefully, this class will guide me through this personal project!
